You can make the program's information security much better by bringing two-factor authentication into use. It aims to ensure only you can access your account if your password gets stolen or the usage is harmed some other way. While the feature is on, you need to confirm your login with a one time code which will be sent to the mobile application you have chosen for authentication.
Permissions: all users
PSA plans: all
Activate two-factor authentication
- Go to My profile > Two-factor authentication.
- First confirm the email you have in use by writing your password.
- Click Send verification code.
- Write the verification code found in the email message you received.
- Click Verify.
- Download the authentication app you want to use from AppStore or Google Play if you don't have one yet. You will see a list of compatible apps by clicking the link in the program.
- Open the app and scan the QR-code.
- Write the verification code you find in the app.
- Depending on the authentication app, the code might be named differently. The code is 6 digit long and changes every 30-90 seconds in your app.
After taking this feature into use you will always need the authentication app to log in to PSA, in addition to your normal login information.
Deactivate two-factor authentication
If you no longer want to use two-factor authentication, there are problems in the usage or you want to change the app used for authentication, you can deactivate it. The feature can be reactivated later.
- Go to My profile > Two-factor authentication.
- Click Deactivate.
