If you use quotes as an offer tool, the proposal (=cover letter) allows you to visualize the offer in line with your company’s brand and to supplement the quote information. By default, a new proposal/cover letter includes a cover page, and you can also add other content pages, such as official contract texts, images, and/or ready-made PDF files.
You can save the cover page or content page you have edited as a ready-made proposal template, so it can be retrieved for use with new quotes. You can find the saved proposal templates in settings.
Permissions: Projects > Quotes & Proposal, Admin (proposal templates in settings)

Example of cover and content pages:
Adding and viewing the proposal
- On the project card, go to Sales > Quote.
- Select Create proposal either from the Options menu or under the quote name on the right side.
- The proposal opens in a new view and by default includes the cover page + the quote. Edit the cover page and/or add new sections as needed. (additional instructions further down in this guide)
- Click Save.
You can edit the proposal again by clicking View proposal.
Editing the cover page
From the top left corner, you can add your company logo.
In the three-dot menu in the top right corner, you will find the following functions:
-
Add background: you can upload a background image from your computer to the cover page.
- After uploading, the button changes to Remove background.
- A button Edit background will appear below, where you can change the image.
- Get template: you can retrieve a previously created cover template for use in this proposal.
-
Save as template: you can save the changes you have made now either as:
- an update to an existing proposal template, or
- a completely new proposal template.
- Delete section: you can remove the cover page from the proposal.
Remember to save the changes to this quote from the top right at the end.
Proposal content sections
You can create additional pages, i.e. content sections, in the proposal by clicking +Add new section between the pages. These can be, for example, official contract texts, illustrative images, or your ready-made PDF files.
Select from the following:
- PDF file: you can select a ready-made PDF file from your computer as a section of the cover letter.
- Template: you can retrieve a previously saved content template as a section of this cover letter.
- Blank page: you can create text or image sections on a blank page as needed.
The three-dot menu in the top right corner also includes the functions Get template, Save as template and Delete section, which were introduced in the previous section of this guide.
Remember to save the changes to this quote from the top right at the end.
Section order and hiding
On the right side, under Arrangement, you can:
- rename sections by clicking the section name.
- reorder sections using the up and down arrows.
- hide sections using the eye icon. A hidden section becomes lighter than the others in the cover letter view, and it will not be included in the PDF printout or in what is sent to the customer.
Remember to save the changes to this quote from the top right at the end.
