CPQ-modules

CPQ is an abbreviation for Configure Price Quote. CPQ is a sales tool that allows you to create product packages from existing products or individual lines and import them into cost calculations and invoices, either grouped or itemized. This feature simplifies and speeds up the process of creating quotes.

CPQ Product Specifications

You can view all CPQ product specifications from the Product Specifications (CPQ) view, where you can also manage the product specifications.

Other> Products > Product Specifications (CPQ)

1. Navigate to the Product Specifications (CPQ) view to see the product specifications.

2. Click the arrow next to the name to view the content and detailed prices of the product specification.

Adding CPQ Product Specifications

First, you define a name for the product package, and then you can add the desired products, free lines, and descriptions to the package, as well as specify the price information for them. The total price of the product package is calculated based on the prices of the products. The products in the product package can have a different price than the base price listed in the product list.

1. Click+Add CPQ.

2. Specify the name and description for the product specification.

3. Save by clicking the green save icon at the beginning of the row.

After that, you can add products, lines, and description lines to the product package.

The Show on Cost Calculation button is automatically activated after saving. You can choose whether the product specification is displayed on the cost calculation.

Adding Products to Product Specifications

The price of the CPQ product specification is based on the number and price of the added products. You can define a price for the products in the product package that differs from the price in the product register, even if the price of the product is changed in the product register.

1. Click the arrow in front of the product specification.

   

2. Click+Add New.

   

3. Select whether to add a line, a product, or a description to the CPQ:

   • Line: A calculation line where you can freely enter chargeable information without a product in Taimer.

   • Product: A product from the Taimer product register.

   • Description: A description for the CPQ. It is displayed on the cost calculation and invoice only when the CPQ is imported itemized.

4. By default, all lines are displayed on the cost calculation. If desired, you can hide a line from the cost calculation printout.

5. Specify the:

   • Quantity

   • Unit Price

   • Sales Price

   • VAT %

Changing the Order of Products in Product Specifications

You can change the order of the products in the product package by dragging a line to another position.

Other> Products > Product Specifications (CPQ)

1. Open the product listing by clicking the arrow in front of the product package.

2. Drag the line to the desired position by clicking and dragging the Move icon.

The change is automatically saved.

Renaming Product Specifications

If necessary, you can change the name of the product specification.

1. SelectRename from the three-dot menu on the product specification row.

2. Enter a name for the product specification.

3. Save the change by clicking outside the name field.

Removing Products from Product Specifications

If necessary, you can remove unnecessary lines from the product specification.

Other> Products > Product Specifications (CPQ)

1. Open the product listing by clicking the arrow in front of the product package.

2. Click the trash can icon in front of the line to be removed.

3. Confirm the removal in the pop-up window by clicking Remove.

Removing Product Specifications

If necessary, you can remove unnecessary product specifications completely. You can remove one product specification or multiple product specifications at once using bulk actions.

Removing Individual Product Specifications

1. SelectRemove from the three-dot menu on the product specification row.

2. Confirm the removal in the pop-up window by clicking Remove.

Removing Product Specifications in Bulk

1. Select the product specifications to be removed by clicking the checkbox on the product specification row.

2. Select Remove from the Actions menu.

3. Confirm the removal in the pop-up window by clicking Remove.
