In PSA, a single project progresses through different stages, for example, from lead to offer and invoicing, and finally to a closed project.
To describe these stages, the program uses sales pipelines and their respective stages. By default, there are three pipelines: Sales Pipeline, Won Projects, and Internal Projects.
You can create multiple pipelines and assign multiple stages to each as needed.
You can read more about using sales pipelines.

You can also define a probability percentage for each stage.
Editing Pipelines
To edit an existing pipeline:
-
Select the pipeline you want to edit from the Pipeline dropdown menu.
-
To rename or delete the pipeline, click the three dots next to the pipeline name.
-
To edit the stages, simply make changes directly to the existing information.
Default Pipeline
New projects are added to this default pipeline by default.
Sales Pipeline Forms
In Enterprise and Enterprise+ plans, you can create customized forms, i.e., additional information fields for projects, specific to each pipeline.
You can choose from several input types (text, date, dropdown, etc.) and define field requirements and visibility in different parts of the program.
These custom fields are applied pipeline-specifically. Custom fields can also be added to all projects at once — read more from Configure project settings article.
-
Select the pipeline.
-
Click New Form.
-
Name the form.
-
Click Add Field and choose the desired field type from the menu (e.g., text, date, or dropdown).
-
Give the field a descriptive name, define its required status, the pipeline stage, and where it should appear in the program.
If the field type is a selection or dropdown, also provide the option names. -
Save using the green button.
If you selected the fields to be displayed in the project details and project list, the fields you created will appear there.
